Take time to PLAY!

We needed some play time on Tuesday.  The kids remembered a park I had taken them to during our Spring Break visit.  The park is way up high on a hill behind the Capital Building in Salt Lake.  I’m sure there are plenty of other places to play along the way, but we had to be in Salt Lake anyway to take care of some business so we went.  We played….mom even went down the slide.  Ha!

(We are only about 14 miles from down town Salt Lake…so it doesn’t take long to get there…great for Big Mister’s commute, too.)

 

I loved watching the kids play, lying back on the green grass and looking at this beautiful view.

The mountain behind the park in this next picture is Ensign Peak.  Have you been?

After arriving in the Salt Lake Valley, President Brigham Young and eight others hiked a nearby peak. President Young remarked that it "was a proper place to raise an ensign to the nations" and so it was named Ensign Peak. Before leaving Nauvoo, President Young had seen a vision of the Prophet Joseph wherein he was shown the peak and told to "build under the point where the colors fall, and you will prosper and have peace."

We love it here and we are happy :)
