Little Mister turns 11

Little Mister recently celebrated his 11th birthday.   He got a new gas powered scooter that he has been riding all over the neighborhood.  He’s obsessed!

He requested a cookie for his cake rather than a traditional birthday cake.  He told us he wanted a big cookie like you can buy and Paradise Bakery.  Not only one cookie, but two large cookies layered on top of each other with a layer of chocolate in the middle.  So, that’s what we did.  We sliced it in pie shapes and served with ice cream.  The birthday party kids thought it was pretty cool and even asked if we could make their “birthday cookie cake”.

We were so proud of Little Mister.  He passed out his invitations and invited all the kids in the family to come, not just the kids (and boys) his age.  We had all ages and the little kids were so excited to be a part of the fun.

We had about 25 kids and had a huge water party.    We played Water Limbo, River Jumping,  Pass the wet sponge with your feet while lying down, and then, of course, the water balloon toss.  We filled up 300 water balloons and the kids had a blast.    After two rounds of the water balloon toss we let them have at the balloons.  Just no throwing above the waist!

Little Mister got a package of pretend mustaches from one of his friends.  He couldn’t wait to put one on for the water balloon toss.

This girl has a little crush on the birthday boy.  So fun to watch!

Having a party is a perfect way to get to know a bunch of neighborhood kids.   The party was a success and Little Mister was so happy.  He thanked us over and over again for the fun party.  That sure makes a mom and dad feel good.  It was worth the effort.

Happy Birthday Little Mister.
