Grandma’s gift

I LVE  GRANDMA

For Christmas the kids and I made a fun blanket for Grandma (Big Mister’s mom).  Every time she uses it we want her to remember how much she is loved.

Grandma is such a wonderful woman.  It has been just one year since the death of Grandpa.  I know she misses him so much.

We love Grandma because:

1) She always remembers to send a postcard to each member of the family from wherever she is traveling.   Such a fun tradition.  We love this tradition so much that the kids have been sending her postcards from their travels.

2) She forgives easily. Everyone makes mistakes.  There are not a lot of people who can forgive easily or even know what it means to truly forgive.  Grandma’s got it.  She knows it.

3) Grandma loves her family.  You can feel it in her presence.   Even though it was hard, she cared for grandpa in the most thoughtful and loving way until he could no longer stay on earth.

4) Grandma loves the Lord.  Her life is a testament to this fact. 

5) She raised seven great kids who love each other just about as much as they love their mother and father.

6) Grandma always has something fun for the kids to eat at her house.  Isn’t this what grandparents are for?

7) We love how Grandma and her siblings have remained so close to each other through the years.  This says a lot about what kind of people they are.  Whatever happens, they are there for each other.

8)  Little Miss and Little Mister want to say that they love sleepovers at Grandma’s house.  They love getting one on one attention and feeling like they are spoiled rotten! 

We can’t wait to visit Arizona again so we can all feel spoiled by the attention of Grandma.
