Happy Birthday Little Miss

 IMG_3187

I have been so busy lately with lots going on in our little family plus lots of projects.  I have been painting walls, re-arranging furniture, cleaning out, painting furniture and just so happy to be getting things of my list!  Blog posts to come later with “before and after’s”.

We’ve also been preparing for Little Mister’s baptism on Saturday.  We are having a brunch afterwards and my wonderful sister generously offered to have the brunch at her house…and make cinnamon rolls too!  With vacation coming and all that comes with preparations for that, plus Little Misses birthday and this and that and this and that, it is nice to have some help.

I can’t let the day go by without wishing our Little Miss a Happy Birthday!  The day began with her breakfast request of homemade cinnamon rolls and opening her gifts.  At 10:00 a.m. I took Paradise Bakery cookies to school for her to share with her class.  She loves their sugar cookies…melt in your mouth.  Doesn’t that sound like a healthy start to the day…cinnamon roll and a sugar cookie?  Well, she did also eat half of a banana and drank a glass of milk.  The day ended with dinner out with her family and her Grandma.  She had a great day.  She did feel bad for her classmate that shares her birthday because he had to go home sick.  He’d even brought in doughnuts to share and couldn’t even eat them.  Poor guy!  Oh yeah, add a doughnut to that list of healthy things she ate this morning!

Little Miss, why do we love you?

1)  You were our first little miracle.  An answer to years and years of tear filled prayers.

2)  You love to read.  Hooray!  Especially at night until you fall asleep with the book covering your face.

3)  You are learning to say such great prayers.  Great job!

4)  It makes mom so happy to see how you love your extended family members to listen to your songs on the piano.   It makes it all worth the agony of getting you to practice every day.

5)  Mom loves how you like the things that she likes (or maybe not), make up, clothes, jewelry, nail polish, perfume, lotion, baths….all the girly things.  It’s just so fun having a girl!

6)  Mom loves that you will allow her to do your hair occasionally.  Of course, every time I do it I have to tell you how much I wanted a little girl that would let me do her hair:)

7)   You love to cuddle with your daddy.  Always have and probably not always will.  But at this stage it is still just wonderful to see you get that cuddle time.

8)  You have a special bond with your brother.  Even though he is younger, he is your protector.  When you aren’t fighting you are so great together!

We love you Little Miss and don’t want you to grow up any more!
