Little Miss read her story by herself as her classmate was absent today. She did a great job.
In keeping with the "story" them of the month, Little Miss presents:
An Angel For Christmas
Once upon a time, in a very gloomy town called Ironville, no one was ever happy. Noe one was every happy because the town mayor hated happiness. One day a poor girl named Angela came to Ironville. Angela tried to bring Christmas back to Ironville because Ironville had no Christmas.
On Angela's first try she tried selling mistletoe. No one wanted it. Just then two children, Bobby and Mary, saw Angela.
"Not having any luck selling that mistletoe, huh?" Bobby asked.
"No." replied Angela.
"You want to live with us?" Mary and Bobby asked.
"Sure." Angela said happily.
"OK, then lets get started home. It's getting late." Bobby and Mary said.
"I'll catch up with you guys later." Said Angela and she set of to the town square.
She tried a second time to bring Christmas back to Ironville by setting up a Christmas tree in the town square. She asked children to help decorate the tree. Some children put up lights, some put up ornaments and some even put up popcorn strings!!!!! Then Angela lit up the lights on the Christmas tree.
All of a sudden the electricity went off! The lights on the Christmas tree went off!
"Our Christmas is ruined." A little girl cried.
Just then Angela turned into her true form. Angela's true form was an angel! Everyone gasped.
"Angela used magic and brought the electricity back!" Mary shouted.
"Angela brought Christmas back!" Bobby screamed.
In the end, the mayor becomes a happier person, falls in love and gets married to a woman named Lorrie. They get married on Christmas. But that's another story......
Not too bad for a couple of third grade girls!
