Of course, we the kids had to set off a few fireworks for the holiday. We didn’t get as many this year due to the fire danger. Acutally, on the news they said that fireworks sales in the area are down 75% from last year. Ouch to the sellers!
The kids love the colored smoke bombs.
After our own little fireworks show we headed down to Provo for the Stadium of Fire show. Before the show began we visited with a good friend that just had knee surgery. The kids love any excuse to visit her because she has two dogs they love to play with.
Little Mister is learning that if he makes funny faces at the camera, then funny faces will be on the blog. Maybe he’ll think twice next picture.
Scotty McCreery (American Idol winner) performed.
Then we got to listen to a fantastic concert by the Beach Boys. They sang hit after hit after hit. The audience was singing loud with every song. It was such a great concert. They also performed at the Stadium of Fire 20 years ago…and I was there, too!
The Stadium of Fire fireworks show never disappoints. It is long, set to music and is just the best. When the fireworks show begins, big bursts of fire are set off throughout the stadium as the “Stadium of Fire” theme song is played.
Can’t wait to find out who the headliner is for next year!
Happy 4th!
